From Northern Michigan, we were off to an important event…my sister Marcia’s 70th Birthday Celebration in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was a surprise party… and she truly was surprised! A beautiful summer day at a gorgeous setting in her backyard in Green Bay. I put some of the pictures together in this short highlight video… she looks great for a 70-year-old, and I am so glad we were there to be part of her celebration!!!
We stayed for four nights in Wisconsin: a couple of enjoyable evenings in Appleton with son Todd (picture here with Phylo!) and wife Leela, and another couple of fun nights in Shawano with brother Jeff and his wife Beth. Our neighbors in the Villages would call that a “Mooch March.”, but we hope we will be able to repay them for their hospitality back in the Villages very soon!!
We also had a chance to stop by to see my childhood friend, Kathy Wollenzein, and her husband Wally. It is hard to believe we graduated from high school 62 years ago!! They are both struggling with health issues, but they look great, and it was so fun spending time with them.
Next, we are off to northern Minnesota to meet another group of friends and begin touring four National Park properties.
