About an hour outside of Dubrovnik
This was such a fun visit! We visited a private, family-owned farmstead and winery. We were welcomed by the very humorous owner, Mr. Dario Martinovec, who introduced us to his estate and provided lessons on his olive farming, and wine and cheese making.

The main entree was “Pork under the bell”, a traditional preparation in which the meat is slow-cooked under a large, iron bell and covered with ashes and embers. It was accompanied by his homemade wines, prosciutto, cheeses, and olive oils.

With all of that, we had live folk music and dancing (even a conga line!)
