After weeks of moving from place to place, packing and unpacking, checking into hotels, and wondering which part of the car held whatever we needed at that particular moment,….Vermont will give us something entirely different: time to stay put and a place we can step back in time.

So this leg will be familiar…but exciting!!! For two weeks, Chippen Point on South Hero Island will be our home.  The property belongs to son Todd and daughter-in-law Leela.  They have been incredibly generous over the last three years in allowing us these weeks in their paradise.  This will be the third year we will host the “Sicily Girls,” the women who traveled together to Sicily in 2023, as well as brother Jeff, his wife Beth, and daughter Rachel.  Daughter Kala, Kala’s boyfriend Mike, and Sister-in-law Patty will also be there!!

This is a place where we can step back in time. Located on a peninsula jutting into Lake Champlain, Chippen Point is a 9-acre sanctuary with almost 1300 ft. of Lake Champlain frontage.  It is surrounded by the beauty of Lake Champlain, with the Adirondack Mountains rising beyond the water… the kind of scenery that never seems to grow ordinary.

A little piece of heaven right here on earth!!!
