South Pacific Adventures

We have so many wonderful memories of our trip to the South Pacific…….sunlight, tides, endless blue, dramatic cloud formations, volcanic peaks and the constant sound of the waves. It is easy to understood why sailors once called it the “Peaceful Ocean”. Each island in the horizon appeared like a new surprise— lush green hills rising from the sea,  turquoise lagoons ringed by white sand, palm-fringed beaches and water so clear it seemed lit from within. Such a stark difference from our continental travels!

Visiting these islands also found a life that moved at a much slower pace than we are used to…..a reminder that not everything has to be rushed! In each port, we were welcomed by warm smiles…our guides on each island seemed proud to share their heritage and their stories, culture, traditions, and music.  This video and list of posts reflects on some of those experiences during our 2024 voyage through the South Pacific…
